The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union entered into force on May 25, 2018. Initially, it was seen by many organisations as a bureaucratic burden, but more and more companies recognize that adhering to the GDPR can actually be an important step to rethink and reorganize the way information is treated and stored in the organisation.
